Questions about official criminal records in Goliad County usually belong with the office that created or maintains the document. Court files, arrest reports, bookings, state criminal-history records, and registry profiles have different custodians. The contacts below route each request to the appropriate Goliad County, City of Goliad, or Texas office and explain the limits of this private reference resource.

This Is Not a Government Office. Goliad County Criminal History is privately operated. It cannot retrieve official records, conduct an official background check, amend or remove a record, or receive an expunction or nondisclosure filing. Those services remain with the responsible government custodian.

Choose the office by record type. A booking entry and a court judgment may concern the same event, but they remain separate records in Goliad County.

  • Court case files: contact the combined Goliad County and District Clerk for district felony and constitutional county-court misdemeanor files
  • State criminal history: use the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal History Name Search or the DPS personal-review process through FAST and IdentoGO, as appropriate
  • Arrest, booking, jail, or Sheriff reports: contact the Goliad County Sheriff/Jail, and use a written Texas Public Information Act request when a phone inquiry is not enough
  • Police incident reports: ask the agency whose officer created the report; City of Goliad requests can be routed through the city main number at 361-645-3454
  • Custody and registry records: use TDCJ Online Inmate Search for state custody and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry for published registration profiles
  • Fine-only city cases: contact the City of Goliad Municipal Court at 152 W. End St., Goliad, Texas 77963, or call 361-645-3454

The county has not published separate Sheriff records-counter hours, a dedicated records email, a fixed report fee, or an online request form. Call before visiting. Goliad County and District Clerk: Goliad County Courthouse, 127 N. Courthouse Square, Goliad, TX 77963; mailing address P.O. Box 50, Goliad, TX 77963; phone 361-645-3294. Effective June 1, 2026, the announced hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with closure from noon to 12:30 p.m. Monetary transactions stop after 5:00 p.m. Confirm the schedule with the clerk before traveling or planning a payment.

The clerk's Goliad Public Search is the local online starting point for its case files. re:SearchTX can supplement that search, but it should not be treated as a complete statewide public criminal-case database. For a certified document or an older paper file, ask the clerk what is available and whether a copy charge applies. Goliad County did not publish a stable local criminal-copy fee in the reviewed sources.
